I am fascinated by "crochet theory"-- that is, the mechanics, the science, the why behind how crochet works.  The physics behind a chevron pattern is so simple, it's mind-blowing.  Who the heck invented the magic ring, anyway? It's genius.  Think about how much more hasn't even been imagined yet.  That's what I love to explore.

I've been crocheting for 17 years.  I was taught the basic double crochet stitch when I was in high school by a German exchange student.  I was "hooked", as they say.  I haven't mastered all there is to master, but I'm certainly trying!

Here on my blog, I publish patterns for you to enjoy, interspersed with a smattering of "crochet theory".  Thank you for visiting!
